ABOUT USSince 1990, S.O.S has transitioned from a non-asset based brokerage operation to a National asset based carrier. Currently with 7 terminals, we have the ability to make pick-ups on over 90% of your freight with our own company vehicles. We also utilize our 20 years of interline carrier relationships to service any shipments outside of our coverage. This network ensures timely pick-up, and the fastest transit times in the industry. In keeping with our traditional company philosophy, we do not break bulk any of our freight. All shipments are loaded either at the origin terminal or on a “Load to Ride” basis. The only other time that a shipment would be touched is at the destination terminal. S.O.S has grown up with current technology, and our system capabilities are at the forefront of the transportation industry. Each customer is given a secure password to interact with our website. We offer “real time” visibility through our web based tracking software, document imaging on BOL’s & P.O.D’s, customized shipment reports, and support any EDI, ASN, or FTP applications in the transportation industry. We also feature Bar Code scanning capabilities at each terminal utilizing “Bearware” specialized retail scanning software. Our real strength lies in our unique ability to service the retail industry. S.O.S currently handles thousands of shipments per week for a wide array of retailers. Our client base consists of several “Fortune 500” companies as well as many start-up retail chains. S.O.S has the unique ability to enhance the retail supply chain regardless of the size of the customer. We currently perform consolidation, de-consolidation, direct to store or DC delivery service. |
